Project Background

Our partner is a local signage company based in Canada. Their end client is a branch campus of a children's music education institution—a brand dedicated to providing young learners with an artistic and creative environment, characterized by a playful, vibrant, and colorful visual identity.

This project encompassed the fabrication of the academy's outdoor signage system, including painted flat-cut letters and front-lit channel letters, serving as the primary visual touchpoint for the campus's public-facing brand identity.

The client's core requirements were clear and essential:

· Precision Color Matching: The signage design featured multiple custom colors. The final product's color values and visual appearance needed to strictly align with the client's provided design files.

· Outdoor Durability: All signage components were designated for outdoor installation, demanding exceptional weather resistance and long-term performance suitable for Canada's climate conditions.

Fabrication Challenges & Our Solutions

Challenge 1: Multi-Color Precision Matching

The design incorporated a playful palette involving multiple custom colors, placing high demands on the color accuracy of the painting process. Any deviation would compromise brand consistency and the overall aesthetic of the space.

Our Solution:
Prior to full production, our engineering team conducted multiple rounds of paint sample matching based on the client's design specifications and color codes. Through iterative comparison and formula adjustments, we achieved a 1:1 color reproduction, ensuring the final product's color saturation and visual texture perfectly met expectations.

Challenge 2: Long-Term Outdoor Durability

Given Canada's climate—characterized by harsh winters and sunny summers—and the client's expectation of long-term use, material weatherability and electrical ingress protection were critical factors.

Our Solution:
We proactively proposed material upgrades, which the client approved:

· Substrate Upgrade: We utilized 316 stainless steel for structural components. Its superior corrosion resistance compared to standard 304 stainless steel provides enhanced protection against humidity and temperature fluctuations.

· Electrical Upgrade: We specified power supplies and LED modules with higher waterproof ratings, ensuring stable illumination performance even in adverse weather conditions and extending the overall lifespan of the illuminated signage.

Project Outcome

All signage products were completed to a high standard of quality, strictly adhering to design specifications and outdoor durability requirements, and delivered to Canada on schedule. Once installed, the vibrant colors and refined craftsmanship integrated seamlessly with the academy's child-friendly positioning, becoming an eye-catching visual feature of the campus exterior.
